DLP4CME

Auditable Product Lifecycle based on a Trusted Data-driven Decentralized Architecture for Circular Manufacturing Ecosystem

An end-to-end multireference tracking system to simplify the user operability and flexibility to access products’ attributes although secure industrial IoT devices. The prototype was tested and validated in the lab and MELER’s shopfloor to provide access to the product Digital Lifecycle Passport (DLP) in real-time. Uses Tecnalia private blockchain auditing platform to control the data integrity, traceability, authenticity, and trust (auditable product information) of the selected products (Micron+ series).

A multi-reference tracking system accelerates product traceability, inspection, and auditing on the shop floor, especially for the product expedition control at the end of the production line. Due to the flexibility and multi-reader function provided by the RFID technology that speeds up the product auditing process, this is the preferred technology. Product references, captured by the sensor on the shop floor, integrate with the manufacturing partner's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The product Digital Lifecycle Passport standardizes the product meta-data collected from the different data sources integrated to the new product traceability and auditable solution.

A standard data structure for the new Digital Lifecycle Passport based

functionality, uses Asset Administration Shell Industry 4.0 standard to represent the product attributes inside its own Digital Lifecycle Passport. The system integrates the DLP service with Tecnalia’s blockchain-based auditing platform component.

A human-centred user-friendly interface simplifies the product auditing process. From any connected device, the end user can access relevant data for a particular product or a batch of products, including their unique reference, private key, and attributes such as current location, description, composition, batch order, serial number, etc. A smart analytics function helps to avoid human-based errors during the product expedition process at the end of the manufacturing line. With just one click, the system automatically captures all the products present in the reading area, consults, and visualizes all the associated data extracted from the company ERP and detects if all the products are properly selected for the expedition. Once the system validates the authenticity of the selected products, the user submits the information to the private blockchain, giving the possibility to audit the product DLP's last update internally and externally from the different nodes connected to the network.

Regarding the circular indicators:

CIR4 - The newly developed solution demonstrates the capability of the DLP tech to

standardize 100% of the product’s attribute (meta-data) in a digital representation that can be tracked (reference ID), audited (blockchain ID) and safety shared in the end-to-end (internally and externally) global supply chain. The achieved results mark the roadmap of the manufacturing partner to extend the showcase technology across the enterprise in future implementation phases.

CIR5 - The new solution digitalizes 100% of the product attributes, reporting and sharing internally and externally, thanks to the new DLP standard and blockchain-based integration. The new service was tested with 31 items commits & updates from the factory node to the private blockchain during the experiment.
